Located off the grid in a remote valley in south-eastern New South Wales, the Suncatcher Cabin features an adjustable canopy allowing the integrated photovoltaic panels to achieve their optimal angle to maximise electricity output year round. The panels create a canopy of adjustable shading above the external deck.

 

The simple plan and use of local materials will create an efficient and comfortable weekend retreat, immersed in the surrounding bushland.

 

This modest project sits comfortably within the landscape and reinforces the experience of the impressive natural setting.
